Walking is simple, free and one of the easiest ways to get more active, lose weight and become healthier. Regular walking has been shown to reduce the risk of chronic illnesses, such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, asthma, stroke and some cancers.
We have produced a range of Easy Guides to places around Bradford that are great places to go for a walk, especially for those of us who aren’t yet ready for more challenging hikes.
We have produced guides to walking in Ilkley Riverside Park, Oakwell Hall and Yeadon Tarn, and are now working on a guide to Judy Woods near Wyke.
Our companion collection, called “A Walk in the Park” has featured 8 local parks so far. We will add to these over the coming months.
