Bradford Talking Media produces 5 very different
talking magazines available in a variety of audio formats from cassette
and cd to mp3 which are distributed nationwide.
Bradford Cassette: A well established monthly talking magazine in English
containing original material ranging from interviews to investigative
research. This is combined with more standard magazine items and news
of particular interest to the client group.
Bhol Chal (First National Urdu Talking Magazine): This fortnightly talking
magazine in Urdu carries mainly news related issues divided into local,
national and sub-continental sections. It also has stories, poetry, interviews
and a film top ten.
Ghal Baat (First National Punjabi Talking Magazine): A monthly talking
magazine in Punjabi. Similar to Bhol Chal in that it carries mainly news
related issues divided into local, national and sub-continental sections.
It also has stories, poetry, interviews and a film top ten. (This will
become a fortnightly magazine in the future)
Livewire: A magazine in English for young visually impaired people (11
- 17 years old). Livewire is sent to many schools and colleges as well
as individuals. It is a monthly talking magazine made with input from
sixth form pupils from Temple Bank, a local school. It contains a wide
range of items from music reviews and gossip to more serious issues ranging
from peer group pressure to drug and alcohol abuse.
Vaat Chit: The latest language provision and our fifth free audio
service. Researched extensively within local communities and piloted
on a 60 minute tape - carries local, national and international news
as well as poetry, stories and special features requested by listeners.
Health issues are high on the agenda, and the magazine will develop
in style and content as listeners make their requests for articles
and features.
